Before Filming Your Course

Consider mapping out your modules and sections first to create an outline before beginning to write.

Consider intentional time-blocking, where you schedule writing sessions 3-5 days/week for a set amount of time. Set your stopwatch for at least 30 minutes.

Consider creating your course title after script completion.

Consider using a title with Course or Academy at the end, so people know this isn’t a live training or in-person event. Example: Workplace Wellness Academy.

While Filming Your Course

Consider using the Ipad, iPad app, and tripod provided above for your teleprompter.

Consider recording in the same outfit and hairstyle for the entire time.

Consider starting and ending the same way for each video and/or including an intro or outro video during editing.

Consider saying, “Reference your Course Manual” instead of “Reference your Course Manual, Page. 11” because you may change page numbers and it’s a hassle to rerecord.
